John has a diverse background, previously working in the hospitality sector, as well as spending several years as a hammer hand in the construction industry. These experiences were valuable when John decided to retrain as an accountant, allowing him to understand those in business, whether it’s a tradie operating out of their van, a retailer or a local café owner.
Having spent many years on a Karamea farm when he was growing up, John continues to have a close connection to the district and has built up a client base over the years. Although based at the Nelson practice on Tahunanui Drive, John travels regularly to see clients in Golden Bay and the iFigure Accounting Specialists office in Westport.

After more than 26 years in the industry, Stephanie is well versed in offering clients a supportive accounting service that allows small business owners to focus on what they do best. Stephanie’s expertise is working with businesses in trades and services, construction and hospitality.
Having come from a farming background, agriculture accounting is also a passion of hers. Stephanie can offer a wide range of accounting, payroll and tax services for all accounting clients, maintaining the balance between keeping things simple and producing the necessary reports for any required compliance. Stephanie has experience with MYOB, Xero, Bank Link, Acclaim Cashbook and Flexitime Payroll software products.

Brought up in the Marlborough Sounds, Tania is from a fishing and farming background. Starting out with part time clerical positions and an accounting management role with a large commercial operation in Nelson, Tania went on to work for one of the largest accounting firms in Nelson, primarily providing monthly accounting services for clients.
After seven years in the accountancy practice, Tania became an accounts manager for two hospitality business in the Nelson area before joining the iFigure Accounting Specialists team just over three years ago. Tania is able to assist clients with her extensive experience in compliance accounting and knowledge of the private sector.

Virginia returned to Westport recently to be close to family after spending 10 years working in Wellington and Palmerston North. During this time, she was primarily involved with two small to medium businesses, setting up and managing accounting and inventory control systems.
Virginia has also worked in central government as an executive assistant and in local government in clerical roles. She greatly enjoys being able to work alongside business owners, assisting with their accounting requirements and offering ways to improve performance.
